So you've cruised around the Net for a
while and you would like to have your own little
spot on the web.
If you have a homepage generated from your
own HTML you can activate a personal homepage
space by filling out the form at
Personal Web Site Hosting
Once the space has been created and confirmed Then you can FTP your homepage
directly to the site and make your own changes
and updates. This requires certain skills that
can be acquired through the net. The activation
of the site is not automatic upon becoming a
member and requires a call for activation.
A basic knowledge of HTML editing and FTP
file transfer are required to build your own
homepage. Excellent information can be found at
Yahoo
and w3schools.com
to assist you in developing your own personal
homepage.
Client Services cannot assist in developing
or transfering your files to the server.
To Install and maintain your home page please
follow these steps.
1. Obtain an FTP program, which one is your
choice. We suggest WS_FTP. If you like you can
get a copy from our FTP site "ftp.nt.net".
Download the version you need from the Windows
directory win95 or win31 or Macintosh.
The configuration for WS_FTP is as
follows:
-Profile Name: HOMEPAGE
-Host Name: 209.226.51.10 or ns1.nt.net
-HostType: Automatic detect
-UserID: username <- Your Login Name or User
Name
-Password: ******* <- Your password
-Account:

x Save Password
X Auto Save Config

3. FTP to nt.net, you will arrive at a
directory equivalent to your username. In the
that directory you will find a subdirectory:
..
www
4. Place your home page in the www directory.
The URL for your home page will be
http://www.nt.net/username

your homepage must be named index.html to work
correctly.
