Connaught is located in the northeastern part of Ontario,
situated along the south shore of the Frederick House Lake. The surrounding area
consist of Barbers Bay, Finn Road, McIntosh Springs, Nighthawk, Hoyle, Dugwal
and Ice Chest Lake. Connaught was known as a bustling town built to serve the
pulp industry at the turn of the century (1900 - 1968). Today, people who live
in the Connaught area work in various occupations related to pulp and paper and
mining industries, as well as jobs related to the service industry.
