Cloutier's Machine Shop Limited is an independently owned company with qualified tradesmen in the machining, welding and fabricating fields.

HISTORY
Cloutier's Machine Shop Limited was started in 1967 by Hubert Cloutier as a one-man operation dealing mainly in welding and machine shop work. The business operated out of a very small 1000 square foot shop on the same location that presently houses the new plant. Cloutier's Machine Shop Limited started on a part-time basis, but quickly recognized the demand for machine shop and welding services; therefore, going into full-time operation in 1968.
The Company was incorporated in 1975 with Hubert Cloutier as President and the only shareholder.
In 1979, the present facilities were built with 5120 square feet of working area and 700 square feet of office space with 5 full-time employees.
In 1981, an additional bay was added providing an extra 1920 square feet of working area, as well as a new 2000 square foot garage which could easily be used for additional overflow. Manpower was increased to 15 full-time employees in the shop with an extra 40 employees during peak construction periods. In 1994, a two storey office complex was added to the front of the shop.
Clientele includes Pulp and Paper Mills, the Mining Industry, Independent Power Producers as well as Contractors and the General Public.
On April 1st, 2000, The Cloutier Group of Companies was purchased by RLP Machine & Steel Fabrication Inc.
