COMPANY: K & C POWER HOUSE REPAIR
PROJECT: HOLLOW DAM CONDITION SURVEY
During 1993, Acres International Limited, along with K & C Power House Repair and H. Sutcliffe Ltd, was awarded a contract to produce a Hollow Dam Condition Survey on an existing hydroelectric generating facility in Northern Ontario. Items reviewed during this survey were: geotechnical conditions; strength testing; as-built conditions, geometry, defects; recommendations and assessment of then current structural and stability condition.
K & C Power House Repair was responsible for: setting of temporary work platforms; coring an opening in the downstream face of the dam; dewatering of the hollow dam; diving inspection of upstream heel and downstream toe of the dam. The site work for this project was completed in September of 1993
