KAP RENTALS ICE FISHING DERBY
On Saturday, February 20, 1999, Kap Rentals & Supplies held an
Ice Fishing Derby to benefit the Northern Lights Therapeutic Riding Association.
Approximatley 500 people were in attendance at the event with over 700
people registered. Local merchants donated close to $3,000.00 worth of
door prizes. Major vendors of Kap Rentals & Supplies provided over
$6,500.00 worth of prizes which were awarded for the different categories.
The
event officially started at 10:30 a.m. and the participants had until 4:00
p.m. to register their fish. The employees of Kap Rentals started setting
up for the event at 6:00 a.m. and with a temperature of -34 deg. C that
was quit a chore. Not only did this event benefit the Northern Lights Therapeutic
Riding Association but it also provided an opportunity to show to the people
in attendance that tenting activities can be a year round possibility.
