The
Northern Corridor du Nord Snowmobile Association is in its 14th year
and still going strong. A member of the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile
Clubs
(OFSC), the office is centrally located in Kapuskasing. We represent
the nine member clubs that stretch from Cochrane to Hearst. The culture
in
our
district
is as diverse as the people themselves. There is always
something to do, be it a winter carnival to attend, a snowmobile rally,
a fishing derby, or a maple sugar party. There is never
a lack of activities,
no matter when you decide to come up to ride. With over 1800 kilometers
of trail and having one of the longest seasons in Ontario, lasting an
outstanding
15 weeks in 2004-2005, you are sure to have plenty of snow to enjoy!
The
Northern Corridor has thousands of cleared, marked
and well groomed trails. Our thanks go out to the hundreds
of dedicated volunteers, putting
in an endless amount of hours every year to make
sure the trails are the best they can be. All amenities are located right
along the top A trail. You can easily
find accommodations, a convenience store, restaurant, gas, or
snowmobile dealer. In addition, the friendly atmosphere in our local clubs
and towns may prompt you to extend your stay and try out
one of the
many local snowmobile loops available.
As
you can see the Northern Corridor is one of the best places to
plan your
snowmobiling
excursion – where snow and
endless activities are always in season!
