Extend-a-family’s largest special event is the Art Auction. This involves displaying and selling of artwork created by the children. This auction provides the children with an opportunity to express them-selves, build their self-esteem, and showcase their abilities. The auction is also an opportunity to promote the program and the children to the community. Paintings will be on display from April 23rd to April 30th at the Timmins Square - and the Auction will be held on May 1st, Timmins Square.
Several times a year all of the families, natural and friendship, are invited to take part in activities together. Some of these activities include a BBQ, Teen Dance, Christmas Party, Hallowe’en Party and Pool and Pizza Party.
On June 13th we will be holding our parents meeting with regards to the summer program. It will be held from 5:30 -7:30 p.m., at the Children's Treatment Centre. Children are invited to come along. Food and beverages will be provided. Additionally, we will hold an information session with regard to Person Centred Planning and what it means to the parents and their children. See you there!
