RECREATION PROGRAM

The recreation program
provides parents with much needed relief as well as meaningful activities
for their children. The
workers are usually one-on-one with the children, but within a group
setting.
All planned activities take place in the community and focus on
developing social skills as well as building the child’s self-esteem.
Extend-A-Family runs a 8 week program
in the summer which includes activities such as: swimming, bowling,
mini-putt, movies, nature hikes, outdoor games and much more. We
also go on several trips such as: Canada’s Wonderland, Twin Lakes, and
camping at Camp Munroe. We
also host a March Break program where the children get to come out once
during the week and participate in such activities as: sliding, boot
hockey, and many other fun activities.
