2006 Annual General Meeting - May 12, 2006

w

In May 26 - 28, 1995 we hosted the District AGM and it was a very successful meeting (for some photos please go to the page of Memory Lane Photos).

And then on May 12, 2006 we again hosted the 2006 District Annual General Meeting, Friday May 12, 2006 to Sunday May 14, 2006.

The 2006 - 2007 season gained momentum relatively early with the TTPSS holding their AGM on May 12- 14 while also hosting the Voyageur District AGM.
Friday night's Pig Roast and Social was highlighted by the induction of our 8 new CPS Graduates and the TTPSS AGM which swore in the 06'-07' Bridge.
The Voyageur District AGM was held Saturday with the induction of the District Bridge and a special visit by CPS Training Officer Louise White; followed by a bus tour of New Liskeard and Haileybury; followed by a Historical Mining Tour of Cobalt - "Ontario's Most Historical Town". The evening was capped off with a tasty banquet and a special presentation by the Voyageur Canoe Club which was a cultural and historical re-enactment of Lake Temiskaming's fur trading era.
For those who braved a cool Sunday morning, we took a boat trip down Lake Temiskaming to Devil's Rock and the South End Spit of Burnt Island, a favourite weekend spot for local boaters, which rounded out the weekend.
