It's just a short 20 minute drive to launch your boat for some great walleye, brook trout,laketrout,smallmouth bass, northern pike, or perch fishing in one of the many area lakes. Big game hunting for deer, moose and bear attract thousands of hunters to the area each year. Set up a camp by a lake, or take a hike through the great outdoors.

Cross Country Skiing

The Englehart Nordic Ski Club operates within Kap-Kig-Iwan Park, just 2 km outside of Englehart. There is an ever growing network of trails that can accomodate the beginner to the expert skier. The club offers a Jack Rabbit League as well as Classic trails, Skate Skiing trails and a heated chalet.

This area is well known for beautiful lakes such as Wendigo , Long and Sheppard . All are a short drive from town and many are accessible year round .
Earlton Zoo
Over 250 animals in a forest setting! Take a walk on the wild
side, only 9 km south of Englehart on Hwy 11. Children of all ages will get a thrill in
seeing and hearing the wildlife. Some of the wildlife at the zoo include wolves, bear,
moose, lynx, deer, buffalo, llamas and many others.
