VICTORIA CREEK SHAFT BOTTOM 1997. Bill Glover is seen here on the shaft bottom in 1997 during shaft sinking operations at the Victoria Creek gold exploration project. Victoria Creek is owned by Sudbury Contact Mines Ltd, (AGNICO-EAGLE Group of Companies). Mine Contractor, Alex MacIntyre & Associates Ltd, who was awarded the shaft sinking & development contract, sank the 1650 ft deep by 5 metre diameter shaft in 1997 & completed track drift development on three levels in 1998.
Bill Glover, working as an independent for the contractor, assisted in bidding the job, procured equipment & shaft hardware once the job was awarded & performed site work during the sinking & development phase of the project.
