Chatting and e-mail are the two most popular things for teens to do on the internet. They both can be lots of fun but they can also be dangerous.

IRC is the net's equivalent of CB radio. But unlike CB, Internet Relay Chat lets people all over the world participate in real-time conversations. IRC is where the Net comes alive!

You can send files, videos, pictures, audio over IRC

You can also chat using your netscape or IE Browers using Java. Get to know how your kids can chat and where they are chatting. Ask them how it works the kids will be more than willing to show you. It is fun to meet different kids all over the world. But make sure you are talking to another kid.
