Duties: to build a customer base for a relatively new company; supervise the activities of a Mechanical Estimator, Mechanical Detailer, Structural Detailer and a Junior Industrial Designer; preparation of invoices and shipping documentation; preparation of tender documents and presentation packages; dealing directly with clients, architectural and engineering firms.
1984 to 1988 - Norcast Corporation Wabi Iron Works - New Liskeard, Ontario. Production Controller.
Duties: Scheduling of the Foundry Division to obtain maximum utilization of the production resources and the monitoring of these resources; coordinate work schedules between the foundry and the other production departments; process customer inquires; maintain accurate inventory counts; develop and debug computer programs relating to production control.

Project Description: Grant Development Corp., subcontracted to Powertel Utilities Contractors Ltd to do all civil and mechanical work relating to the construction of a new 6 Mw Hydroelectric Generating Station including the intake structure, penstock and the powerhouse.
Project Name: Cameron Falls G.S.
Owner: Electrogen Power Corporation
Location: Cameron Falls north of Massey, Ontario
Project Description: Fabrication of 10' dia. penstock intake and discharge transition sections at Grant Development Corporation's Earlton facility.
Project Name: Pool and Fitness Centre
Owner: Town of New Liskeard
Location: New Liskeard, Ontario
Project Cost: $9 million
Project Description: Grant Development Corporation was the General Contractor on the project.
Project Name: Coarse Ore Conveyor Gallery
Owner: Placer Dome Inc., Detour Lake Mine
Location: Detour Lake Mine in Northeastern Ontario
Project Cost: $560,000.00
Project Description: Grant Development Corporation fabricated the conveyor gallery, tables and the bents at there Earlton facility.
Project Name: Oriented Strand Board Plant Expansion
Owner: Grant Forest Products
Location: Englehart, Ontario
Project Cost: $105 million
Project Description: Grant Development Corporation was the General Contractor on the project which involved expanding the existing plant from 450 TPD finished board to 1200 TPD finish board.
Project Name: Automated Gate System Contract
Owner: Carmicheal Power 1991 Ltd
Operator: Algonquin Power Systems Inc.
Location: Groundhog River south of Fauquier, Ontario
Project Cost: $263,000.00
Project Description: Cloutier's Machine Shop Limited along with Northern Hydraulics Lab designed, fabricated, installed and commissioned a hydraulic system, complete with superstructure, to automate 14 sluice gates.
Project Name: Underflow Gate Rehabilitation
Owner: Carmicheal Power 1991 Ltd
Operator: Algonquin Power Systems Inc.
Location: Groundhog River south of Fauquier, Ontario
Project Cost: $750,000.00
Project Description: Cloutier's Machine Shop Limited along with CMS Mechanical and Northern
Hydraulics Lab rehabilitated the underflow gate to ensure year round operation. This rehabilitation included the rebuilding of the gate, repairs and upgrading of the hydraulic system and required repairs to the concrete structure.
