7-Review of items for Wednesday October 8th District Meeting:
- Place & time, catering Englehart Catholic Churchwould be appropriate- Yvonne will contact Annette Deacon or Pat Roberts
-Legion Ladies (or Catholic Women's League or Rebekahs's)could do lunch - details to be confirmed - we will ask for a lighter lunch- cold cuts, salads etc.
-Place for lunch to be determined- church or Legion Hall
- Invitations to membership at large will be included in newsletter -will also send to other affiliates
- Agenda: to be confirmed
- Greetings from Town - Yvonne to call Nina Wallace
- 25 yr membership - Goodwill - Doug will contact other sections to find out their list
In presentation will mention something about each ( i.e. hometown, school etc.)
- "In Memoriam" - Goodwill - Doug-same as above
- Entertainment - ongoing - difficulty to reach people because of holidays
- Booths- Guests will show and comment on their respective material:
- Art- Charlotte Lavictoire has confirmed her attendance

-Other possibilities include--

- Set-up etc. will look into it later
- Attendance draw(s) Yvonne will look into it
- Guest speaker - Health unit - person to be confirmed - will speak on the importance of staying in shape and/or mentally and physically active

- Report from each committee
- Name tags, centerpieces etc- Michelle - name tags, Bonnie Warner will be contacted for centerpieces
***What else do we need - refer to past district meetings (blue duo-tang) - av equipment,microphone etc.
-Presents for guest speakers this fall will be free lunch

Health - Maureen Goddard - has received "Health Matters|" containing information on new drugs for colo-rectal cancer and Alzheimer's, travelling abroad, new database for natural products, etc. She also received a report from the District Health Workshop held in June - it contains information on enhancing our drug plan, mistakes made by members---e.g. what you are covered for or not, what to do before getting in touch with office etc. Districts Reps are to see what our members want in new initiatives
Constitution - we are still looking for a rep
Political Action we will need a new rep as Rick Kayes has moved out of the area

Eileen Fisher has replaced Deon Ramkissoonsingh as Goodwill rep. for the Englehart area. Doug has already been in contact with her.
11-Newsletter- in progress- (Yvonne and Bev Bigelow). Yvonne will call us at mailing time for a "working bee".
