Would you believe Hound Chute Creek--just off the Montreal River
And take a look at that beaver dam!
Rose and I didn't do as much canoeing as we had hoped this summer but we did manage a few outings. On this warm, sunny day we managed to make our way along the Montreal River with our friends Ann and Reg Holdsworth who are pictured below portaging their canoe at the Hound Chute's Dam.

After stopping for a nutritious lunch we shot the rapids below and the women commented that it wasn't quite as exciting as they had expected. However, a good time was had by all. We don't have photos of the rapids as I didn't want to risk damaging the camera if we had tipped.
